Youth and Government is a program of the Y that involves teens in state-organized, model-government programs. Our leadership and academic enrichment program will allow students the opportunity to immerse themselves in first-hand civic engagement and study the depths democracy. Our Youth and Government programs meets throughout the school-year to deliberate issues that affect citizens of our state and to propose legislation. The program culminates with teens serving as delegates at their state conference, debating bills on the floor of the legislature.

The purpose of Youth and Government is to offer a hands-on program to provide positive opportunities and experiences for youth. Participants will learn values-based leadership skills, become active and responsible contributors of our community who are inspired to lead, and are empowered to create meaningful change in their futures.

Our leadership and academic enrichment program, Youth and Government, allow teens to gain the opportunity to pursue the best possible future.
