SUPER SUMMER DAY CAMP
The best thing going for kids this summer is SUPER SUMMER DAY CAMP at the Hobart Y. Day camp is for elementary kids who have completed kindergarten through the sixth grade. Camp runs Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Earlier and later times are available. Campers can come one day a week or as often as needed during the 10 fun-filled weeks. Parents or guardians must complete all necessary registration forms two (2) business days prior to the child beginning camp and pay a $35.00 non-refundable registration fee. If your child is already registered in the 1st Choice before and after school program for the 2016-2017 school year, you will only complete a condensed registration form and pay $10.00 per child.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT AT DAY CAMP
Super Summer Day Camp is an exciting, safe community for children to explore the outdoors, build confidence, develop skills and make lasting friendships and memories, so they can grow as individuals and leaders. Day camp provides children with supervised activities that teach core values, conflict resolution and leadership skills. Kids have fun while building self-confidence and will give you peace of mind while you are at work. The learning, fun and character-building experienced during the school-year continues into the summer months. The activities are designed to keep your child’s mind and body active while nurturing the Y’s core values: caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
Day Camp activities allow kids to create arts and crafts, sing and rock to the music, explore science, read and listen to a variety of books read aloud to them, journal their feelings and thoughts, use their imagination, swim, participate in field trips, play sports and active games, appreciate nature, learn about nutrition & fitness, grow vegetables while learning about responsibility by taking care of the Y garden, and better understand our many cultures and differences.
